Balanced diet plate for healthy life
Every person wishes for healthy life but only some people enjoy healthy life due to different reasons. The major reason is poor and unhealthy diet so if we control our diet we can also enjoy healthy life. There should be a balanced diet plate for good health. Healthy diet plate has healthy food that may not harm the health, that plate has the following food.
- Proteins
- Carbohydrates
- Fats
- Water
Protein:
The major part of our body is made up of proteins which are responsible for our body structure. A balanced diet plate should contain proteins to maintain the body functions. Proteins include pluses, meat, egg etc. So your balanced diet has completed with the proteins’ diet.
Carbohydrates:
Carbohydrates also plays a vital role in making of human body. Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for people now days. A balanced diet plate should also have balanced amount of carbohydrates for proper and healthy body.Carbohydrates are present in sugars, fruits, wheat,vegetables, and as well as in milk etc.
Fats:
Fats are the constituents of human body but if they exceed the limit they cause different health problems. Fats are of two types HDL and LDL. HDL are beneficial for body but LDL harms the body. Fats are present in dairy products, nuts, fried and as well as in junk foods.
Water:
Human body constitutes 60% of water .This percentage shows the importance of water in human life. Water must be needed with a balanced diet plate.
Contents of balanced diet plate
Balanced diet plate must contains all of above mentioned constituents i.e.proteins , carbohydrates and fats. They should be in recommend balanced amount. Healthy and balanced diet plate should contain the following
- Water
- Fruits
- Vegetables
- Milk
- Milk products
- Egg
- Fish
- Meat
- Oats
- Pulses
- Nuts
One thing must be kept in mind that all of them should be in balanced amount.
Healthy oils:
Always choose healthy plant oils because they don’t harm human body much. These healthy plant oils include olive oil, corn, soy, canola, sunflower oil .Always try to avoid partially hydrogenated oils because these oils contain trans fatty acids.
There should be 3 portions of a balanced diet plate:
1st portion:
Try to make fruits and vegetables a major part of your food.1/2 portion of your plate should consist of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain the constituents that are necessary for body .They make your skin fresh and make your body active. Search fruits and vegetables that may harm your health if you take them in excess. For example potatoes because they increase blood sugar level.
2nd portion:
2nd portion should contain whole grains_whole wheat, barely, oats, brown rice. The foods which have made of these whole grains have mild effects on insulin level and blood sugar level than white rice and white bread. This whole grains would be 1/4th of the plate.
3rd portion:
3rd portion of a balanced diet plate contains proteins. Foods included proteins such as fish, eggs, meat, vbeans, pulses etc. These all are healthy for human body. They can mix with other portions of the plate or with some salads. This portion also contains some nuts.3rd portion would be 1/4th of the plate.
Water, juice, Tea, coffee:
Water is necessary for healthy life because up to 60% of human body is just water. Human body needs water in excess of amount to meet the daily functional activities. Limit the amount of sugary drinks, alcohol and caffeine. Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Use green tea and fresh juices to make your body healthy.
- If you feel that you stay active by this diet plate than you have to carry on your diet but if you feel yourself inactive then increase the amount or portion percentage according to your body requirements.
A healthy and balanced diet plate demand for quality of food
This means that type of food is more important than quantity of food. For example: Some carbohydrates contain more calories than others and enhance the blood glucose levels .
Exercise: For healthy body, not only balanced diet plate is necessary, exercise is also necessary to keep the human body healthy because it reduces the risks of many diseases like obesity, heart diseasesetc. Exercise makes body fit andactive. Exercise makes a person active and help him in reducing the excess weight because obesity is the major issue now a days.
